George B. Quatman
The orpahned boy who was taken under the wing of a Catholic preist in Sidney and grew up to become an icon of the Sidney and Lima buisiness community. He successfully ran the local amusement park from the 1940s to mid 60s and donated his profits to erect the Marian statue and shrine before his death and the subsequent sale and demise of the long gone amusement park.He was a firm believer in faith and family vaules and waged a battle with the local negative forces in his life and carreer. The George B. Quatman Foundation remains as his legacy.
